You came back in the fall
and I told you you could go —
already almost gone
like the deer I came upon one day,
slow breathing beside me
before it leaped. You stayed
and stayed and now the air
is crisp with lack of you.

Never Fall Again
She thought that if you looked,
compared herself to any one of them,
you'd think that she'd be the rainy ending
given to a perfect day.
And when she swore that she'd never fall again,
she meant it.
It didn't feel like falling because she was numb,
she couldn't tell the difference between
a knife and a feather at this stage.
And the monsters,
they all lived in her eyes.
They didn't let her see,
they just reached out and pulled her eyes shut,

Full of possibilities. Governed by illusions.
Ruled by nothing that can be controlled.
Dangerous and deadly and too

So he looks across them all, fields and fields and

Fall
Fall is a gorgeous season. The colors on a tree changes. Gold, orange, and red; calling you to touch them. The wind kiss you gently on the cheek knowing that it miss you. Warming up the house; turkeys running away from the hunters. Animals looking for food, birds leaving us. Bugs running into houses. Blowing to see a like faint smoke in the air. Rake the wonderful leaves; jump into the pile and watch it ride on the wind. Sitting down, eating turkey with family. The beautiful sun go down; watch animals go hind from the silent cold wind. Flowers closing up, but will be back. Fall is one season that you can not miss out its lovely leaves.
